A New Season – Updated Website
Ch-ch-ch-changes happening here at Nanine Hartzenbusch Photography! First, we moved from Charlotte, NC to the shores of Lake Keowee near Clemson and Seneca, SC in the spring. It is beautiful here, and we love living on the lake near the mountains with so many outdoor places to explore. With the move came a major website update ~ to reflect recent work, a more intuitive design, and helpful information about our portrait sessions and what to expect. Please visit the website and let me know your thoughts in the comments below. I’ll be adding a portrait display gallery – to show you how your family portraits can be displayed ~ on your walls, in fine art albums or image boxes. And for my repeat clients I’ll be adding a “Then and Now” gallery ~ I’ve enjoyed seeing your children grow up, in portraits!
So… what does this mean to you? I am available for portrait sessions in more areas now! I am excited to work with new clients in the Upstate SC areas of Lake Keowee, Lake Hartwell and Clemson, Seneca, Anderson and Greenville. I will be returning to Charlotte about once a month (stay tuned for my visit dates to book your portraits) and I venture up to the DC metro area several times a year to work with my clients there. If you are visiting this area, I’ve discovered lovely locations for portraits – on the lake, botanical gardens, flower farms and stunning downtown Greenville. Please follow this blog and sign up for my monthly newsletter to receive news about upcoming portrait sessions. I look forward to working with y’all!
Cheers,
Nanine
P.S. I have been having so much fun exploring the area with my camera. Stay tuned for a post on the lake area’s beauty
Fun Senior Garden Portraits
I had a great time photographing this beautiful Senior student heading to college. We arranged portraits in a gorgeous South Park garden, with lots of possibilities for backgrounds. She had several different outfits, to show her versatility and sense of fun. Now, I’ve designed her senior announcements; graduation is almost here! Very exciting times for her and for her family. Thanks for a fun day in the garden!

Giving Back to our Charlotte Community
Charlotte, NC, gives a lot. In fact, the Queen City was named the most socially responsible big city in the U.S., by the Conscious Consumer Spending Index ranking in this Charlotte Observer article last November. Charlotte is home to more than 400 non-profits, according to Share Charlotte, which aims to engage the community with charitable organizations.
Here at Nanine Hartzenbusch Photography, we are proud to support area non-profits through silent auction and other donations. This spring we are donating portrait sessions to The Salvation Army , The Ronald McDonald House and the Charity League of Charlotte.
We are also excited to host a mini-portrait session event at the McGill Rose Garden on Saturday May 5 and Sunday May 6 to benefit the Charity League of Charlotte. The McGill Rose Garden is a gorgeous setting for portraits. This historic urban North Charlotte garden, filled with rose bushes and other flowers will sing “Spring!” into your portraits. Charity League is near and dear to my heart. I’ve been a proud member for nine years; seven of them I’ve served on the board including two years as President. The League has assisted Charlotte children in need for almost 100 years. Your participation in this event will help us with our literacy and learning initiatives with Charlotte area students. Please see details in the flier below and contact us soon, these sessions will book up quickly!
Senior Portraits in a South Park Garden
I enjoyed photographing this beautiful senior girl in our South Park garden. She has a beautiful smile and a great outlook on life. I’ve known her family since we moved to Charlotte over a decade ago. In fact, her mom was the first friend I made a few days after we moved in to our home. I’ve watched her daughter grow up through our neighborhood and school celebrations, so when it was time to book her senior portrait, I was so happy to be able to capture her beauty in the garden. ‘Tis the season, for your senior’s portrait. If you have not booked yet, we still have time. I have weekday afternoons and some weekends remaining before May 15. I hope to work with you this spring!
