Fun with Grandchildren ~ Lake Keowee
Happy Fall! Visiting grandchildren and their families make for great moments you’ll want to capture in portraits. This sweet family recently gathered from several states away at the lake. After they selected their coordinated clothing colors, we chose our walking path along the lake as a great spot for portraits. Pre-planning a family portrait to coordinate clothing, select a location and consider various family groupings is so important. That way, we are off and running on portrait day, to just focus on getting the best portraits of your family, as the details have already been taken care of. Don’t miss an opportunity to be in photographs with your sweet grandchildren, and also of you, as a couple. Often we focus on our children and grandchildren and forget to be in pictures. Please reach out to me at nanine@naninephoto.com if you’d like to book your family portrait. I still have some availability through 2022 and the holiday season. Thank you!
Giving Thanks – Family Portrait Clients
In this season of gratitude, I am especially thankful for my family portrait clients. This past summer I was honored to photograph several family gatherings at Lake Keowee. Summer is a wonderful time at the lake, and there’s no better time to capture those memories with your loved ones. Children grow up, families evolve and moments are fleeting. Your family portraits displayed on your walls or in fine art albums will serve to hold those memories of summer visits. Thank you for the opportunity to photograph your families! I have a few portrait sessions remaining for the holiday season, please contact me at nanine@naninephoto.com if you’d like to schedule your family portrait. Thank you!
Fun Outdoor Portraits of Sweet Sisters
Y’all, I’d like to share my recent portraits with these sweet sisters. These girls had such beautiful smiles, curls and pretty dresses. We had so much fun creating a set of portraits for their parents and grandparents. Their giggles and laugher were music to my ears. I’m so glad I got to meet them and hope to see them again soon!
Spring is coming up from the ground and twinkling in the trees in South Carolina, where we live – daffodils, redbud, camellia and crocuses among other brilliant blooms. It’s giving me a sense of hope not only for the coming season but for the coming year. And what a year it has been. Covid-19 has touched so many, some more profoundly than others. We are looking forward to getting out, traveling more, seeing family members and yes, more portrait sessions in 2021!
Nanine Hartzenbusch Photography is committed to safe and healthy practices no matter what the local mandates say, so you can be rest assured that we are taking every precaution to make sure you feel safe. Easter and Spring are a great time for family or child portraits. My spring calendar has opened for portrait sessions – I’ll be available for portraits in Upstate SC, Charlotte, NC and Charleston, SC in April, May and June, please contact me at nanine@naninephoto.com to schedule your portrait session!
Fun Family Lakeside Portraits
I had so much fun photographing this sweet family by Lake Hartwell in Clemson. Mom and Dad wanted photos of their girls, and grandmother visiting was a plus! We chose the dock to give different vantage points, and for their girls to have fun and relaxed portraits. Late afternoon light is warm and flattering and the water and the shore as a backdrop gave us many options. The girls’ flowy dresses made for super fun portraits. I’m so glad we were able to spend time together, capturing sweet moments to make great keepsakes.
Fall is a lovely time for family and child portraits. The colors are vibrant and the air is cooler. The lakes are gorgeous, but so are the mountains, rivers, hiking trails and downtown Seneca, Clemson, Easley, Greenville, SC, Highlands and Cashiers, NC. As we head into the holidays, portraits are perfect for holiday cards and cherished family gifts. Please contact me at nanine@naninephoto.com if you’d like to book your family portrait. I have availability on most weekday afternoons and some weekends in October and November.
A New Season – Updated Website
Ch-ch-ch-changes happening here at Nanine Hartzenbusch Photography! First, we moved from Charlotte, NC to the shores of Lake Keowee near Clemson and Seneca, SC in the spring. It is beautiful here, and we love living on the lake near the mountains with so many outdoor places to explore. With the move came a major website update ~ to reflect recent work, a more intuitive design, and helpful information about our portrait sessions and what to expect. Please visit the website and let me know your thoughts in the comments below. I’ll be adding a portrait display gallery – to show you how your family portraits can be displayed ~ on your walls, in fine art albums or image boxes. And for my repeat clients I’ll be adding a “Then and Now” gallery ~ I’ve enjoyed seeing your children grow up, in portraits!
So… what does this mean to you? I am available for portrait sessions in more areas now! I am excited to work with new clients in the Upstate SC areas of Lake Keowee, Lake Hartwell and Clemson, Seneca, Anderson and Greenville. I will be returning to Charlotte about once a month (stay tuned for my visit dates to book your portraits) and I venture up to the DC metro area several times a year to work with my clients there. If you are visiting this area, I’ve discovered lovely locations for portraits – on the lake, botanical gardens, flower farms and stunning downtown Greenville. Please follow this blog and sign up for my monthly newsletter to receive news about upcoming portrait sessions. I look forward to working with y’all!
Cheers,
Nanine
P.S. I have been having so much fun exploring the area with my camera. Stay tuned for a post on the lake area’s beauty
Fun in the Garden
I had a lovely time photographing this sweet three-year old boy and his mom in the garden. He was so playful and sweet. I loved all his different expressions! His grandma had bid on and won a portrait session at the Charlotte, NC American Heart Association’s gala fundraiser – the 2019 Heart Ball. So we had a lot of fun in this South Park, Charlotte area garden, and grandma gets to have a keepsake portrait from her auction win! A win-win all around. Nanine Hartzenbusch Photography supports area non-profits in the Charlotte, NC and the Upstate, SC area by donating a portrait session and a print to silent auction fundraisers. And here are my favorite images from our session in the garden!
