Charlotte, NC, gives a lot. In fact, the Queen City was named the most socially responsible big city in the U.S., by the Conscious Consumer Spending Index ranking in this Charlotte Observer article last November. Charlotte is home to more than 400 non-profits, according to Share Charlotte, which aims to engage the community with charitable organizations.

Here at Nanine Hartzenbusch Photography, we are proud to support area non-profits through silent auction and other donations. This spring we are donating portrait sessions to The Salvation Army , The Ronald McDonald House and the Charity League of Charlotte.

We are also excited to host a mini-portrait session event at the McGill Rose Garden on Saturday May 5 and Sunday May 6 to benefit the Charity League of Charlotte. The McGill Rose Garden is a gorgeous setting for portraits. This historic urban North Charlotte garden, filled with rose bushes and other flowers will sing “Spring!” into your portraits. Charity League is near and dear to my heart. I’ve been a proud member for nine years; seven of them I’ve served on the board including two years as President. The League has assisted Charlotte children in need for almost 100 years. Your participation in this event will help us with our literacy and learning initiatives with Charlotte area students. Please see details in the flier below and contact us soon, these sessions will book up quickly!
