Meet me in the Rose Garden

Tuesday, February 11th, 2014

It’s hard to imagine the fragrance of roses with snow in our future, but before we know it spring will show her beautiful blooms. For a third year in a row I’ll be offering mini-portrait sessions at the McGill Rose Garden to benefit The Lunch Project, a Charlotte based philanthropic organization.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I will be offering 15 minute mini-portrait sessions to families and children on Sunday April 6, from 3-6 pm. The sessions are $100 and $85 from each session will be directly donated to The Lunch Project in your name (to cover the cost of feeding a hot lunch to the entire school!)  Each participant will receive a gift print,  just in time for Mother’s Day (May 11).

The Lunch Project has a simple goal  – to give children the fuel to learn.  The Lunch Project also works to inspire service in elementary school children in the U.S and aspires to be a platform for child philanthropy for global hunger relief in the schools.  For several years, The Lunch Project has supported the Lemanyata Primary School near Arusha Town in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania with regular hot lunches. Recently, the model of The Lunch Project was adopted by Matimu Primary School in the Arusha District.

Please mark your calendars for Sunday afternoon April 6 ~ and email me with your preferred time ~ nanine@naninephoto.com. I look forward to working with you and your families to benefit Tanzanian school children!

Gorgeous Fall Family Portraits

Tuesday, November 5th, 2013

Fall is a wonderful time for family portraits and I had so much fun photographing this sweet family in their garden. This is our second portrait session in a couple of years and it was great to spend time together in the fall leaves! The boys are growing up so nicely. Mom came to the studio yesterday and narrowed down her portrait selections and it was great to have a chance to catch up, just the two of us. I still have session times available this fall, in time for the holiday season, so give me a call in the studio at 704.909.9963 or email me at nanine@naninephoto.com to inquire about a portrait session. I would love to work with you! In the meantime, please enjoy viewing our favorites from her family’s portrait session ~

Giving Thanks

Thursday, November 22nd, 2012

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year ~ We gather together with family, enjoy delicious food, spend time with friends, and  reflect on the year’s blessings. I am grateful for my sweet family, our friendships, our beloved city of Charlotte and all my wonderful clients. Let the adventures continue in 2013!  All the best to you and your families this Thanksgiving Day. ~ Nanine

New Year ~ New Blog

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

Welcome to my new blog – Nanine’s Photo Journal ~
And Happy (belated) New Year – I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season.

I am excited to have a new blog design that works well with photos – a clean, simple layout and a wider width that shows off the photography so well.

A big thank you goes out to Heather of Lovebugs Photography Designs for installing the blog and making it look so pretty. If you are a photographer or a business owner with a blog, I highly recommend Heather for blog customization and a whole range of design services.
I must also say thank you with a big embrace to my husband, Bert Fox – who endured my nightly revisions of my blog header – and did so with utter grace. His ability to see through the noise to create a flow and pacing of photos is priceless. I married a true visionary.

There’s lots of excitement in store at Nanine Hartzenbusch Photography. Stay tuned for new product offerings, a workshop and client sneak peeks. Please bookmark this blog, feel free to leave a comment, and also you can fan me on Facebook by clicking on the “f” icon at the top right corner. thank you for all your support!
