I’d like to share with you a delightful place off the beaten path – Landsford Canal State Park in Catawba, SC, about an hour south of Charlotte, NC. A gorgeous spot along the Catawba River, Landsford Canal State Park offers a variety of attractions – hiking trails, canoe put-ins, historic canal locks and one of the largest stands of the rare Rocky Shoals spider lilies in the world. The lily season is now over, but the park offers a summer respite filled with visual gifts. Mark your calendar for next year’s showing of the lilies – each year they bloom from mid-May to early June. I’ve had so much fun with my camera on our outdoor adventures ~ here are some glimpses into this precious park.
