Giving Back ~ Project 5

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

I am honored to be participating in Project 5 by Photography for Social Change run by Julia Dean – a documentary photographer, photo educator and good friend. Along with over 100 photographers, I am donating a print to the silent auction, which will be held at the Stephen Cohen Gallery in Los Angeles this weekend. Please see the invitation below for details – consider this your invitation – if you are in the LA area – run, don’t walk to this wonderful event. I will be there in spirit, and hope to attend next year’s festivities. Project 5 seeks to fund documentary projects for the next five years through a series of silent auctions, exhibits and grants. You can view some of the photos that are included in the auction in this gallery – my photo (shown below) is #47 in the gallery …

New Year ~ New Blog

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

Welcome to my new blog – Nanine’s Photo Journal ~
And Happy (belated) New Year – I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season.

I am excited to have a new blog design that works well with photos – a clean, simple layout and a wider width that shows off the photography so well.

A big thank you goes out to Heather of Lovebugs Photography Designs for installing the blog and making it look so pretty. If you are a photographer or a business owner with a blog, I highly recommend Heather for blog customization and a whole range of design services.
I must also say thank you with a big embrace to my husband, Bert Fox – who endured my nightly revisions of my blog header – and did so with utter grace. His ability to see through the noise to create a flow and pacing of photos is priceless. I married a true visionary.

There’s lots of excitement in store at Nanine Hartzenbusch Photography. Stay tuned for new product offerings, a workshop and client sneak peeks. Please bookmark this blog, feel free to leave a comment, and also you can fan me on Facebook by clicking on the “f” icon at the top right corner. thank you for all your support!
